Computer Services
The Computer Service (CS) was established 1996 to provide clients with the ability to access the internet and other facilities using refurbished computers donated by Government, business and private individuals. The aim is to provide affordable quality refurbished computer systems to clients. This helps provide access to the internet to pay bills, do online banking, take courses, and to improve social skills by using chat and email to communicate with friends. Our computing team is made up predominantly of volunteer technicians who utilize their skills in our workshop to repair, assemble, test and clean the computers to ensure they work effectively and efficiently. Volunteers are supervised by qualified management responsible for maintaining a high level of timely and quality services. TADWA is a panel member of the Government Community Re-Use Project for Information Communication Technology (ICT) under Common Use Agreement (CUA 5101). This initiative provides TADWA with a steady supply of refurbishable computer technology so that we can assist those in the community facing social isolation and experiencing financial hardship. TADWA is accredited by Microsoft® under its Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher (MAR) program and as such is able to offer clients quality computers with fully licensed operating systems and software installed at minimal cost.
