Philosophy of TADWA

  • Access services on a non-discriminatory basis
  • Make choices in their own lives
  • Dignity, respect, privacy and confidentiality
  • Be valued as individuals
  • Be fully informed on services provided by TADWA through the HACC program

Primary Activities of TADWA

Customised Aids and Equipment (CAE) Section Uses the talents of volunteers and professional staff to custom design solutions to mobility / recreation / daily living / communication issues or needs that impact on a persons' ability to enjoy life and live permanently in the community. TADWA is a practical, 'hands on' organisation with a team that works in tandem with the individual, the family, carers and health professionals in order to achieve the best outcome for the customer.

Computer Services Section assists in reducing or alleviating social isolation without imposing a financial burden on families. TADWA's computer services team assists customers with disabilities and/or special needs to obtain a computer system assembled to specific requirements with access to the internet & email. The customers are supported by IT qualified and experienced staff.

Basic Computer Training - free introductory program that provides customers and potential customers with the skills to use the computer as an educational tool, entertainment and use of the internet & email for communication, banking and shopping.
